The pop-up market went really well :) I still have a lot left which I have now posted in my eplashop!

Pop-Up Market

December 1th there I will sell my jewelry and a few other things at a market in my home town Tromsø. We are about 18 participants, where we will sell both secondhand and new, e.g. handmade crafts and art, clothes, shoes...  I'm really excited!!!

Summer sale!

At the moment epla's shops are having a summer sale with 30% and more price reduction. I have a few items in my shop also on sale, come and have a look :)

Jewelry for little girls

My niece got me thinking a while ago... She was watching her mom try on some of the things I have made and I felt bad cause there was nothing for her to try! So here it goes, my first attempt at making childrens necklases and bracelets:

 

I have made my first sales! It was even more exciting than I thought it would be. I was running around the apartment like a headless chicken trying to find what I needed to get the jewelry shipped off safely... Must have looked quite silly, with that big grin on my face too.... Anyways, that made my day, for sure :)

Since my last post I have taken new pictures of some items and made some new jewelry that I have added to my shop. Here follows something old...

Nervous!

So, my shop has now been open for two days, and my nerves are almost killing me! The minute I made my first listing I felt like my stomach was turning inside out. What if no one likes what I'm selling? What if people think I do bad work, or don't appreciate all the work I put into the jewelry, after all sometimes it's just a few plastic flowers glued on some metal... Anyone can make that!

Now, I know how much time I spend finding the perfect flower, the perfect metal base, the perfect bead or crystal and the chains, don't even get me started on the chains! They are such a pain in the ... However, I can understand why some people may think it’s just some Asian crap clued together and that the time spent making them must be minimal.

I don’t say this to put myself down because I know several very nice and loving people have said they like my jewelry. I’ve even sold jewelry before, just not in this way. It’s just that now people that don’t even know me are suddenly in a position to judge and it’s freaking scary! Of course, it’s also very, very, very exciting, and I feel worried and proud at the same time. I’m constantly checking in on my store, seeing if the number of views on each listing has changesd since 5 minutes ago…

Yesterday, someone made one of my listings a favorite, that’s got to be good news right? But no sales yet! I’m crossing my fingers, reading posts on the forums to gather tips and changing product descriptions to make sure I do my best to showcase each item. Hopefully someday soon I will make my first sale from the shop and I can lower my shoulders an inch or so... Then I could rest assured that there is nothing wrong with the payment method, notification system etc. That would be nice J

I've been busy

Lately, I have had lots of time to be creative with my jewelry supplies and have decided to start a small shop on Epla.no. While I'm figuring out some logistics and increasing my stock of finished products I thought I'd provide a small sneak peek into what's coming.

I haven't been as unproductive as my blog would have it these days, not long ago I made this food tray by painting a tray white and using napkins to decorate the surface by using decoupage glue.

 I haven't posted any of the christmas presents I made last year, so here follows those I remembered to photograph before I gave them away.

These two sweeties I did not make myself, how cool would that have been.... But mister Chuck Barker does make them and sell these and other puzzles in his Etsy shop. I'm hoping my nephew enjoys them, if he doesn't play with them I'm sure they make a great decore for his room :)

At the moment I'm working on some new jewlery designs, just waiting on those last packages with supplies to arrive....
